Hi everyone,
Iam a July 3rd filer and the moneyorders for me and my wife has been cashed on September 28th. We had send 2 moneyorders for $745. Waiting for the receipts to come. Hope all of you get your receipts very soon.
Very sorry guys!!But all the information that I got from lawyer's office was wrong. They did not send my I-485 on July 2nd as I thought. When I got the receipts the received date was July 20th. Receipts are from Texas. I hope you all get your receipts soon.

My attorney told me that they sent my case to USCIS through FEDEX overnight on 6th June. My check is not cleared from my bank yet. I am concerned about my RD. Any idea?

Let me first of all thank you for taking a strong stand for your highly skilled employees at this critical time. I am on an H1b visa and am a certified professional working in this country. I just wanted to ask you a few question. The biotech firms employ a lot of people on H1b visas. How come none of them, excluding Genentech, is included in the compete america group's letter to the congress. I strongly feel and pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, other biotech companies should also be included to stand for the H1b visa and green card issue for their employees. Seccond question I would like to ask is about the provision to renew the H1b in increment of 3 years each after the 6th year, which apparently has been taken off in this new CIR bill. This is a very technical issue and employers would not want to loose the trained employees after the 6th year period. It does not make any sense to refuse renewability of the H1b after 6 years since by that time that employee has already become an asset to the company or this nation. Please make sure to stand for that particular issue. H1b should be renewable in increments of 3 years each if the GC has been filed by the 5th year. Let me thank you for successfully campaigning for increasing the H1b numbers and hopefully this will enable me to move from my present acadamic position (Ast Prof at XXXXXX) to an Industry. Did any body received the card or case status changed to Card production ordered apart from GCEB2?
It seems there is progress only for GCEB2 for the gys who got the approval notice in August.

Correct me If I am wrong
out of 45K members let's assume 22.5 K are EB2 and 22.5 K are EB3.
Even If 11.25K (EB2)+11.25K (EB3) = 22.5 K (Total) contributes $25 Each Problems gets solved ... but the catch is ....
Even 11.25 K EB2 members are not contributing because they don't have to as their problem is solved
Even 11.25 K EB3 members are not contributing because they are not sure even with this contribution their problems gets solved.
Many people are saying that EB3 members are not contributing that's why you are lagging etc...
EB3 Members who contributed are feeling the pain because even after contribution they are not getting the results and EB2 members who didn't contributed are getting the results...

Received by J.Barrett at 10:25 AM at NSC, Case transferred to TSC on 08/05/2007 (Based on LUD). Notice Date is 09/04/2007.
My I-140 is from TSC. I know what I went through this whole 70 day process, but as the saying goes 'There is light at the end of the tunnel'.

USCIS are doing internal transfer from more than a year(140 & 485). They are processing 140 and 485 at both the centers and requesting the application at NE only. It seems now you noticed.
well they have started allowing for direct filing to each of these centers from July 30th. It's going to be another pre-PERM situation when place like nevada used to process labor in 3 months whereas NY was taking 2 years.

At least Bush Administration was sympathetic to our cause. Everyone knows that this is a congressional fix but alteast Bush never came up with those anti-H1b policies to destabilize people in GC queue. Now these numbers have retrogressed in month of June when historically this has never happened. Obama is trying to woo people at the cost of Indian community.
Everyone knows Durban & how he has lately tried to screw Indian community and Obama is a good friend of Durban. Now Democrats are in majority , why have they not fought for your cause ? There was an idiot congressman in IV Dc rally who was talking about making all illegals legal from IV stage. So what else u can expect ?
Come out of Obama Dreams & fantasy world. Obama is not good for us. He is good for illegals and any immigrant who is aspiring a blue collar job. They don't want you & me taking white collar jobs. He is helping right-wing white supremacist agenda by aligning himself with people like Grassley & Durban.

Bush, deport and detain illegal immigrants while expanding and ignoring any frauds in H1/L1/etc programs for 8 years. Obvious, Bush thinks our future voting block will be in republican favor and illegals future voting block would be in democrats favor.
Now we see with Obama he is acting in the opposite manner. He wants to legalize illegals to create a future voting block and to penalize and stop/disarm the h1/l1/etc programs because he believes we will not vote for democrats when we become naturalize.
I will be sending this letter on Monday anyways because we need to do something our voices are being DROWNED out by the ANTI's!!!

LIN is the prefix of the id number given to your application if you are applying to Nebraska service center, like WAC is for the california service center. it might possibly mean Lincoln,Nebraska.
I believe all 485(along with 765 and 131) applications should go to Nebraska service center after the bispecilization rule became effective. Not sure where the 140 application should go to though.
here is how you decipher the receipt number, be it from Nebraska,California,Texas,Vermont

03 - the year 2003, it should be 07 for this year
123 - working days count from the start of the immigration year(immigration year starts in october i believe)

Nothing is as easy as it seems. Even for a small ask item, there is a lot we have to invest. If people show up for chapter meetings, come for lobby day and rally, contribute and volunteer for the cause.. then we can increase our chances of success.
I looked at the profiles of people on this thread and a lot have not even completed their profile information. While we want IV to do things for us, we do not want to do what IV asks us to do. One cannot expect to get things done by anonymously posting a want list and expecting others to do the job for them.
If anyone wants their ideas to be the agenda of IV, they must come forward and get active in the state chapter. Through state chapters you will know the updates and have an opportunity to help, suggest and even lead your ideas in IV.

Technically under which conditions and criteria Eb1 and Eb2 would be applicable?
GCby3000 u wud still apply under Eb1 and Eb2 depending on the job requirement and ur personal skills. It is just that u will be Exempt from the Cap i.e. the yearly quota for GCs, IF you have an advanced degree in the US.
Now you can be an Eb2 even without a masters in the US, if you have outstanding management ability and ur job demands that kind of management skill level. In that case the yearly quota cap would apply to u, but if u have an advanced degree in the US the cap wud not apply to u.
What degrees are considered as advanced degrees in the SKIL bill maybe some on here can clarify. Is it the same definition as the STEM or is it different?
