Guys...please stop this useless discussion of whether to give priority to US educated professionals Vs. Non-US education professionals. First of all, we are not the one who have decision power on this one. Secondly, it will make us weak by dividing on such matter. Thanks for starting the thread. I share your grief and agree that we gotta do something. As much as I agree that we have to fight for our rights, I am not too sure if suing is the best option.
Again, if you all decide too, I will be more than glad to contribute my 100 but do we have enough ground to ask the questions in such 'blunt' manner? As much as you and I believe that our lives are completely topsy-turvied by these arcane policies, would some one arguing against our claim say that we are still entitled to do what we were allowed here to do. The employment visa allows us to work in a certain kind of job and nothing is hampering that aspect. Yes, it screws up promotions, displaces your plans to stay and has ill-effects both at a personal as well as professional levels but still..
If we have to sue, I think the ground work one has to do is immense. Find significant amounts of data from USCIS in terms of how random their approvals are and how it affects you after we all paid monies expecting a totally different pattern. If this can be accomplished, we could sue them probably for their lack of customer service, by-passing their guidelines on a consistent basis and thus hampering the lives of several people who were here for example in 2001, etc. I strongly believe data is our best friend (worst too, as it is personal data that we probably might not be entitled to even enquire..)
Again, I am no lawyer. I am sort of playing devil's advocate and just thinking through the obvious rebuttals. If we were too get enough data, combining that with active media publicity and some innovative ideas (flowers/clocks/watches whatever) or getting the businesses to acknowledge, then we may see certain changes.
I don't mean to damper your spirits by any sort. I certainly like the 'return my money if you fail to live by your own guidelines'.
Just the fact that, they keep going back from Current to Unavailable to 2006 to 2003 to etc, we have right to sue. Reasons below.

Quick question...we applied for NSC on aug 2nd..did not hear anything yet. Just wondering did all of u , whose cases got transfered to other centers get Transfer notices or directly receipt notices.
I am gettign tensed as the days are passing by.

Yeah, I know my life sucks. I have a priority date of Jan 2003. Got filed under EB3 even though did MS here... I begged and pleaded that they atleast send it on Jan 28th. For god's sake, I was qualified all the way since June 1st. I gave all the documents necessary by June 6th itself. Well, but they had to file on 29th.

For all those who are waiting...I would suggest one more thing, if your file is not touched. My lawyer had sent an email to NSC on Aug 2. I believe that along with my SR might have done the trick.....Sheela Murthy was my lawyer....that too might have helped....Who know what works....but we can all try.....Hope all who are stuck, get their GC by end of this month.

I suspect you are right. Even my lawyer kept the memo ready sent it out on Aug 01 requesting a FP notice and instead i get a "card production" email. The lawyer had indicated that these memo do result in case movement and not many take advantage of the possibility.

Dear Members
For those of you joining us late, here is some info about this thread.
1. This is to do our least part to the core IV Team for their selfless sacrifice, for all of us getting the benefits of legal immigration. Note that , Aman Kapoor , the co-founder of IV has done his part by sacrificing $64,000/- from his own personal funds towards the administrative costs of IV. Yes you read it right , it is $64,000/- We come to know from his co-worker that he has sold his house towards running this show for us.
2. We have not yet figured out a way to reimburse these costs as IV does not yet have administrative costs part of the expenditure allocation, as we understand it. So instead of a wait and watch, we decided to go ahead with collecting the pledge from the members on the amount they are putting forth for reimbursing the amount. Once we come up with a strategy(members we look for your suggestions on how to get this done, please add your comments) we will instruct the members pledged to pay out.
So do not pay it directly to the IV core funds, yet.
Please help us spread the message about this thread in other threads by copy and pasting the following in other threads too.

DC is the right place even on a weekend also just protesting infront of the uscis office will get media attention .....we should plan for this.i know less than 1000 people will be a failure ..can we try to get the mood of the IV for this kind of event ...
