I don't think its necessary to have kind of a verification letter from bank. I only sent paper statements for past 6 months, that's it. I printed the same online and also did order in mail through 1-800 number of BOA free of charge. As a matter of fact, in my situation at that time, I was not worried about sending this verification letter, because we give enough docs for our genuineness and I thought monthly statements would suffice.
I guess you should close the account with that bank (or atleast make it non-active) and open one locally.

Dear gurus,
I have one fundamental question.
why EAD renewal can take up to 3 months? (90 days). It just does not make sense. I can understand if it is fresh application OR it has been expired for quite sometime before applying for renewal. If it is fresh app, there might be some security checks, application verificaiton checks etc. But EAD Renewal is very simple. You were approved once, your application does not boast any address changes. All you are requesting is renewal based on pending I-485. No common sense!:eek:
This is very very unacceptable and shows the lazyness of USCIS in adjucating timely. But they are VERY TIMELY in increasing fees....:eek:
I know I am very furious but dont we think we should raise some momentum in allowing special processing for EAD renewal or allowing local offices to issue Renewals for EAD which has been eliminated now????

I think you are in good shape to use AC21. Just make sure that you have the paystubs for the first 180 days after filing the I485 application in your present company if in case you get a RFE. That is one of the easy proof that you worked in company A for 180 days after fileing I-485.

My Situation is very similar to above mentioned and I would appreciate if someone can give comments.
My I-485 was filed during July'07 and I-140 was approved during the same time but I was on H1 until Feb'10 working for employer directly and lost my job. I have found new job now starting March 15 but I am not going to transfer H1 and started working on EAD. I am not sure about filling AC21 as it might create unnecessary confusion and I don't want to miss out in case my date become current (Nov'06) due to spill over.
Now, I have to travel internationally for work and will be using first time my AP but not sure how to answer question on my employer without filling AC21.
I can bring AC21 memo and show them paycheck from last employer and new employer (with little more than one month gap in between) but not sure if that is enough. Let me know your suggestion.
Also, my old employer will most likely not revoke 140.

I know how you feel but Im sure your time will come, our application is in Texas Service Center also and we are current since March and I was expecting that it will be approved in November but thank God my husband received an approval email just today. Forget about their processing dates it was never followed in our case, our I-140 was supposed to be approved december last yr but we got approval notice last October, our receipt notice for I-145 is June 20, 2007 but we got approved today.

DOS and USCIS are slow. But it would be really helpful if the IV code team can provide some update on our site. I believe over 2.5 hours have passed since the last update regarding some update in 1 hour. I guess we can't do anything if it takes more time but an update always helps! Thank you.

opening new threads like this is annoying, I see lots of useless thread around here which discourages me to come to IV that often. He is asking update from CORE like they owe him, he must have paid his attorney and should attorney in such way not here. Whenever core has something to share they do share, no doubts.

ur just making what we refer to as a 'h1 transfer'. u donot have to wait till oct to begin ur work at the new employer. anytime after u get ur receipt u can terminate the first job and join the new one.

ans: as long as u have NOT terminated ur existing H1 employment, u can travel ( assuming u have a valid visa to reenter the US). it doesnt matter whether u applied for h1 transfer or not, as long as ur current H1 visa is valid and ur maintaining proper H1 status at existing emplyer, u shud not have problems coming back to US on H1. after u come back , depending on whether ur got ur new h1 receipt , u can terminate first job and join the new one.
In regards to the timing of a petition -
as we have mentioned, ANY time after recieving receipt u can start ur new work...so why u waiting for absolute 1 or 2 weeks before july to start the paperwork???? do it 4 weeks before, and even if receipt comes early, nobody will force u to join then and there. once u have receipt, u can give whatever reason u want and join the new employer at ur chosen date....

But we are getting reports from the Hill and from many of you that many of them are starting to show some signs of concern about how their open-borders voting may affect their standing back home.
We don't like being called "anti-immigration," but we like what the reporter said he found in talking to people in the Senate:
"The anti-immigration crowd has political momentum
at this stage in the fight, with congressional
Republicans wary to cast any vote that could turn
off their conservative base during this critical
election year, but members will also have a hard
time ignoring such a broad cross-section of business,
labor and social groups with their own self-interested

Now, if we could just get more Democratic Senators to start worrying about their base.

That gives hope that some Democratic Senators would vote against these bills. "Battling with groups like Numbers USA is an
uncommon experience for many members of the business
community because they do not regularly work on
such socially sensitive topics.
"We don't usually end up on the other side of single-issue groups," Gay said. "That's unusual for us."

"The National Restaurant Association usually does not join forces with the National Council of La Raza, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce rarely, if ever, aligns itself with the Conference of Catholic Bishops.
"But those organizations and many others have come together in support of a comprehensive immigration-reform bill that would expand guest-worker programs and offer undocumented workers already in this country a path to citizenship. They are up against an aggressive cross-section of single-issue organizations that favor increased enforcement of immigration laws and have condemned any legislation that would allow undocumented workers already here eventually to become citizens.
"With the Senate Judiciary Committee expected to mark up its version of the immigration bill Thursday, groups on either side of the issue have geared up for a hard fight, and the vehemence and intractability of either side should make compromise particularly difficult for lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
"A unique coalition of divergent interest groups have rallied in support of a bill introduced by Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.).
"he fact that the Chamber of Commerce needs comprehensive immigration reform is very good," said Flavia Jimenez, an outreach director for the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic advocacy organization.
"Members of the business community also appreciate working with groups such as La Raza because it allows the overarching coalition to communicate with Republicans and Democrats alike on Capitol Hill.
"It's nice actually to get to work with these guys," said John Gay, a senior vice president for government affairs with the National Restaurant Association, which co-chairs the Essential Worker Immigration Coalition (EWIC), a group of more than 40 business and trade associations seeking comprehensive reform.
"Because the many groups within this broad coalition have slightly different priorities, they must communicate regularly to push common themes. In the end, these organizations are all fighting for what they consider the best interests of their dues-paying members.
"Despite the breadth of interest groups
advocating an expanded guest-worker program,
the enforcement-only crowd makes considerably
more noise on Capitol Hill, if the flood
of mail, e-mail and phone calls to member
offices is any indication."
