On July 25th lawyer sent my documents 140 & 485 concurrent, PD port from previous I-140 approval (approved at Nebraska).
Reached Nebraska Service Centre on July 26th.
Will it be processed at Nebraska Service centre or Texas Service centre? According to new direct filing instructions my employer and my residence comes under Texas Service centre.

Please add a poll to this thread to track number of application mailed per week to USCIS eg Week of July 17th, Week of July 23, Week of July 30,Week of August 6 & Week of August 13th.
Hopefully this will help us understand the load.

I have some problem on surfing & responding back because our "Big Brother" wathces who is surfing for how much time and also he/administrator did blocked Yahoo/Hotmail & all mail related to website..thats usual story for "Consultant Contractors"...

I received an email on 8-8 saying card production ordered and on 8-9 about the welcome kit.
My PD is April 2 2004 EB2 (US educated for the idiot who tried to divide us b/w US and non US educated)
As a token of appreciation - I have contributed $100 to IV just now.Receipt ID: 1467-8132-5592-9911. Request all of those who get GC this month to contribute some $ amount. Although I was not very active in the forums I have contributed at least $400 to this cause and I will do the same in the future. Please do not try to divide b/w EB3 EB2 US educated etc. which I am noticing lately.

This is what puzzles me, on one hand you tell us 'You couldn't even begin to imagine how many cases like this there are'....
Which is exactly I have been saying, unless we do something EB3 India could be waiting for a decade or 2...
But on the other hand if I want to address this issue in a manner which could see least resistance, you tells me I'm living in 'Utopia', administrator threatens to 'Ban' me ????

Let me give you a story:
On one of my teams; there was a super star supervisor. He was accused of having inappropriate e-mails.
HR wanted him fired and opened up a big investigation. His manager comes to me and tells me that we have to do everything possible to save him as he is a very key person and irreplaceable.
I went upto HR with my boss to tell them that this particular person could not be fired under any circumstance and that we should let this indiscretion go.
They should be and my boss the e-mails. The e-mails basically were so male chaveunistic and racist. I probably had sent these types of funny jokes in my career and so had my boss and probably so have all of us. We didn't think it was a big deal when taken in context but we had to risk our own credibility and fight with HR to save him. In the process of doing so; we would have lost our credibility with the evidence against him. Even if we fought it; we would have still lost but it would have stained our reputation with HR area by trying to fight for this guy.
Now; senators/congressmen who don't have much knowledge and you present to them why the country quota, etc., should be changed; will be given evidence through their research of what is going on with h-1b, labors in fast procesing states, etc., In this environment where there is sentiment against immigration it will fall on deaf ears and maybe even skew things in the future for you with the politicians because they are getting insight into this stuff at the wrong time.
Take my example of adopting newphew. As I said this isn't the only case; when they start seeing that number of people from India is due to many causes (arranged marriage and adding dependents always from India after they arrive here; staffing companies, h-1b violations, etc, etc.,); the circumstances are not on your side. This is the fourth recession I am living through in this country. In just about each one; immigrants bore a dispropritanate share of blame for the countries ills.

I know quite a few people who have gone back in the last year ;), and contrary to perception are quite happy with the choice they made.

Let me first of all thank you for taking a strong stand for your highly skilled employees at this critical time. I am on an H1b visa and am a certified professional working in this country. I just wanted to ask you a few question. The biotech firms employ a lot of people on H1b visas. How come none of them, excluding Genentech, is included in the compete america group's letter to the congress. I strongly feel and pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, other biotech companies should also be included to stand for the H1b visa and green card issue for their employees. Seccond question I would like to ask is about the provision to renew the H1b in increment of 3 years each after the 6th year, which apparently has been taken off in this new CIR bill. This is a very technical issue and employers would not want to loose the trained employees after the 6th year period. It does not make any sense to refuse renewability of the H1b after 6 years since by that time that employee has already become an asset to the company or this nation. Please make sure to stand for that particular issue. H1b should be renewable in increments of 3 years each if the GC has been filed by the 5th year. Let me thank you for successfully campaigning for increasing the H1b numbers and hopefully this will enable me to move from my present acadamic position (Ast Prof at XXXXXX) to an Industry. I called IO today, still no information in system about my I-485 application that I filed June 28. What is funny is they can find my H1 extension that I filed on July 22 ??!!
I asked if my case will be transfered to Texas as my I-140 is approved from Texas, answer: Yes it will transferred to Texas IF they need to. So it is not a must. we will see..

They say that you become what you think most of the time. Do you really think good things about yourself? Try to develop a habit to see silver lining to anything in life...it will take you a long way not only with GC stuff but other issues which we have to deal with day to day.

I take frequent trips to India and all of them are extremely satisfying, and many times the thought has crossed my mind about the possiblity of moving back but it will take some time for changes to happen for the good and that is because i think,
We, Indians have a basic mental flaw wherein we shy away from unpleasant confrontation regardless of the merits of our case or the adverse consequences that such inertia engenders. The net result is that we are unable to translate our moral convictions into practical reality allowing law abiding citizens to be held hostage to the tantrums of a belligerent and corrupt minority, who call the shots in most places, right from the bottom to the top , in any sphere or area...(rather than talent and merit that should call the shots )

Excluding dependents is like making the Cap 2.5 times, when I say least controversial I intend to that everybody in the legal immigrant community will support it. If the cap becomes 300K Per annum, Iam sure everybody by which I mean even if somebody has filed for his / her labor today will get approved within 2 years (Equivalent to 600K visa numbers). Of course this will require a change of law but nobody EB1, EB2, EB3, ROW, India / China would oppose this as everybody's process gets speeded up. There is no other way to clear the backlog in its entirety and ensure that it does not happen again like this solution of excluding dependents.
