And none of us should even complain when millions of illegals are suddenly made legal by the Government and they jump the line in front of us for no fault of ours and there are EB3s still waiting from 2001. Instructions on how to import all the contacts into yahoo address book.
1. Download the file and save it to desktop.
2. Click the options on the left when you logon to yahoo mail.
3. Then click the address book to the right.
4. Under management, click Import/Export.
5. Select the yahoo .csv option. Browse to the file and press the import button.
6. All the addresses should be under your contacts now.
Can some one post all the email addresses in one place or at least tell me how to do . i am ready to do that

No, I've not "come down from legal standpoint to employer standpoint!" Your assumptions/inferences are based on generalizations. All I meant was there are many perspectives/interpretations for "permanent." Yes, if you're an H1B on a FT job, there are high chances are that the employer thinks that's a "FT and permanent" position--even though GC is filed for future job. Why don't you ask your employer that question when you were/are on H1B, pre/post-I-140 petition? That is, were/are you working there as a temp or "perm?" on H-1B? And, yes, *legally* speaking, if an employment is at-will, it can't be "permanent." That is, if an employer fires you (for performance or downturn) , you just can't sue him on the ground that you were promised a "permanent" job, can you?

Ok. My bad. I was using lame duck as an example. I'm not hoping anything on the lame duck session.
My question is/was, how long it takes for a bill(passed) to be effective. Is there a timeline within which President has to sign it? Once he signs it how long does it take become effective?
PS: I was guessing, I'm not sure of the 90 days time period.

EB2 India - Filed Sept 06
140 Approved by TSC in Apr 07
485/EAD/AP Filed on July 2nd at NSC (R Williams 9 :02 am)
LUD on 140 - 08/05
Recd EAD and AP - 09/06
Have not received 485 receipt or FP notice. EAD and AP are from CSC - I recide in CA.

There is very simple reason for this, during 1999-2002 H1B cap was raised to 190,000 even if you make a guess on the lower side more than 50% of these H1Bs went to Indians, so atleast 200,000 Indians entered US between 1999 when these people filed their Green Cards most of them filed under EB-3, b'cause retrogression wasn't there and everthing was current, lot of people, who were in the states where labor took less time, kept getting their green cards, in the meantime a huge chunk of people from states like NJ, NY, TX, CA got stuck at the labor stage with PD in 2000 and up. So basically lot of 2002 & above got cleared but these people with older PDs were stuck. Now when these Labors are cleared, with just 3300 Green Card numbers every year, it'll take 20 years or more for EB-3 cut-off dates to move to 2009.
